Madison, WI—(ENEWSPF)— Today, the Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus was proud to introduce 2025 LRB-6044, an amendment to the Wisconsin State Constitution. This amendment would prohibit all forms of slavery and involuntary servitude in Wisconsin without exception.
The Wisconsin Constitution prohibits slavery and involuntary servitude. However, the Constitution includes an exception to that prohibition. This is if there is an imposition of slavery or involuntary servitude as punishment for a crime after an individual’s conviction. LRB-6044…
