Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— For far too long, the northeast corner of Western Avenue and 26th Street has been an eyesore. Located next to a well-kept and busy Auto-Lab Express, across the street from Jim McDannel’s Lifetime Automotive Repair, and Stop-N-Shop moved across Western to a new home. Jim McDannel was named Sam Montella Business Person of the Year in 2011. Stop-N-Shop vacated its location across from Lifetime Automotive the following year. At that time, Hitesh Shaw purchased the former Taco Bell on Western Avenue, completely gutting and refurbishing that structure. Since 2012, we watched the former home of Stop-N-Shop deteriorate one day at a time.
