Yesterday, Congresswoman Tammy Duckworth (IL-08) and State Representative Elaine Nekritz (D-Northbrook) hosted a Roundtable Discussion on potential cuts to the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) & hunger. The event served as an opportunity for Congresswoman Duckworth, Representative Nekritz, organizations combatting hunger and residents of the 8th Congressional District to discuss the future of SNAP and hunger disparities facing Illinois and the nation.
