Measure Includes Sanctions on Russia, Assistance for Ukraine
CHICAGO –-(ENEWSPF)–December 15, 2014. U.S. Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) today announced the Senate and U.S. House of Representatives have passed the Ukraine Freedom Act of 2014, legislation he co-sponsored that imposes additional sanctions against the Russian defense, energy and financial sectors and also authorizes military and non-military assistance to Ukraine. The measure now heads to President Obama’s desk to be signed into law.
