Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Fire Chief Rober Wilcox and members of the Park Forest Fire Department showcased the Village’s new fire engine and ambulance prior to the July 14 board meeting. The engine holds 400 gallons of water, enough to put out most house fires, according to Chief Wilcox.

The fire engine cost $474,355, according to Wilcox, and the new ambulance cost $131,798. While the ambulance is already in service, the department is still adding equipment to new Number 50.

Below are pictures from the Fire Department of the fire engine under construction, followed by more pictures from Monday’s tour.
