Folks On Spokes Bicycle Club to Present Easter Ride Sunday

University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Folks On Spokes Bicycle Club presents the 28th annual Easter Ride, Sunday April 19th from Governors State University, 1 University Parkway, University Park. Cycle one of five fully marked routes for riders of all abilities from 16 to 65 miles, through pastoral farmlands, wildflower filled woods, and friendly towns. Route maps and cue sheets are provided. Rest stops along the route provide riders with fruit, drinks, sandwiches (including Easter egg salad sandwiches!), and homemade cookies. Some rest stops will also have live musical entertainment.

Registration tables are open from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Fees are $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The success of this invitational ride enables Folks On Spokes to make generous donations to the League of American Bicyclists, League of Illinois Bicyclists, Active Transportation Alliance, and the Indiana Bicycle Coalition. Donate a bike (20” wheels or larger) to Working Bikes Cooperative at registration and receive $5 off your fee (one rebate per customer).
