Free Leadership Dialogue at Governors State University

University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Leadership Dialogue series sponsored by the Metropolitan Institute for Leadership in Education (MILE) at Governors State University is designed to develop an understanding the meaning of courage and the strength of endurance.

On January 24, Dr. Paul Craig will lead a thought-provoking discussion of leadership and courage as exemplified by Sir Ernest Shackleton, who led an expedition that traversed the Antarctic continent in 1914 under adverse conditions.

There is no charge to participate in this unique, enlightening conversation. Participants are asked to read “The Endurance:Shackleton’s Legendary Antarctic Expedition” by Caroline Alexander, or be familiar with the topic.

This event takes place in the Hall of Governors at Governors State University, on January 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch is provided. Pre-registration is required. Call (708) 534-4024.

Governors State University is located at 1 University Parkway, University Park, Illinois.

This event is part of a yearlong celebration of Governors State University’s 40th anniversary. Community members are welcome to attend special events throughout 2009, which exemplify the university’s ongoing success. For more information about GSU’s 40th Anniversary, visit www.govst.edu/40years.
