Alternatives to Opioids Act of 2018 offers pain-management option

Governor Bruce Rauner signed the Alternatives to Opioids Act of 2018 on Wednesday. The Act expands the list of those eligible for medical marijuana to include those that might otherwise use opioids for pain management. The bill was signed at the Chicago Recovery Alliance on Chicago’s west side.
