GSU Summertime Sculpture Park Tour

University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Summertime is the ideal time to discover the Nathan Manilow SculpturePark at Governors State University. The parkincludes twenty-six sculptures by nationally and internationally acclaimed artists, including significant works by Mark diSuvero, Mary Miss, Bruce Nauman, Martin Puryear, and Richard Hunt, located along pathways on the university grounds.

Free guided tours of the park will take place on the first and third Sundays of the month. Tours on June 7, July 5, and August 16 highlight the sculptures on the north section of the park. Tours on June 21, July 19, and August 16 feature the artwork on the south section. Tours begin at 2 p.m. and last from one and a half to two hours. Visitors are asked to gather on the patio outside the Hall of Governors. Comfortable footwear is recommended as there is extensive walking and occasionally the paths are uneven.

The Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park at Governors State University is open from dawn until dusk, 365 days a year. GSU is located at 1 University Parkway, University Park, Illinois.
