Health Care Reform

Historic Health Reform Legislation Passed by Congress

Washington, D.C.–(ENEWSPF)–March 21, 2010.  The Senate-passed health reform bill passed the House tonight by a 219 – 212 vote.  As expected, Republicans unanimously voted in opposition of the bill. The bill now goes to President Obama for his signature.

The historic legislation among other things will extend health care to tens of millions of Americans who currently lack coverage and will eliminate a health insurance company’s ability to deny coverage for those with pre-existing conditions.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that in passing this legislation “we will be joining those who established Social Secuirty, Medicare and now, tonight health care for all Americans.”
