Center On Halsted’s DanceOUT Series Presents a Conversation with Les Ballets Grandiva, August 21, 2009


Chicago, IL –(ENEWSPF)– Center on Halsted’s danceOUT series, in collaboration with Chicago Dancing Festival, will present Les Ballets Grandiva in conversation on Friday, August 21, from 7-8:00 PM at Joffrey Tower, 10 East Randolph Street in Chicago. Les Ballets Grandiva will be performing with Chicago Dancing Festival, which runs August 18-22 at Millennium Park.

Founded by current director Victor Trevino, Les Ballets Grandiva is an all-male comedy ballet company currently in its 11th season. The ensemble has toured the USA, China, Japan, France, Italy and South Korea. As part of Chicago Dancing Festival, Les Ballets Grandiva will perform “Star-Spangled Ballerina”, its version of George Balanchine’s “Stars and Stripes”.

danceOUT is Center on Halsted’s season-long series of intimate conversations with world-renowned dancers, choreographers, directors, designers and more, all discussing their lives and careers “up close and personal.” Each conversation is moderated by a variety of local LGBT theatre and dance professionals.
