Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Program Supervisor Anna Soloff is hoping to raise a shelter at the Park Forest Bark District. In a letter to Bark District members, Soloff is asking for donations to build the shelter in time for spring.

"We continuously strive to improve the park for our furry friends," Soloff says. "This is why the need for a shelter in the park is so essential. Installing a shelter will allow the animals and people to take a break from the heat, sunshine or other elements so they don’t overexert or overexpose themselves."

Soloff is hoping to raise $2000 to purchase this new shelter. "We have over 100 human members at the park and if each family even donates we will be able to make this shelter a reality. Each person that donates will also be entered in a raffle with a chance to win a complimentary year membership or one of two other exciting canine related prizes.

"I would like to think of us as our own family at the park and to us here at the village it is community and family that are most important," Soloff continues. "Our top priority right now is the ability to purchase this shelter to improve the quality of life and experience at the Park Forest Bark District. Every contribution counts and brings us that much closer to attaining our goal."

Donations can be made out to The Village of Park Forest and sent to the Recreation and Parks Department, 350 Victory Drive, Park Forest, IL 60466, attention Anna Soloff.
