Tall Grass Arts Association’s next exhibit will be ‘Heartland: Images of Small Town and Rural Midwest.’ The exhibit will open Friday, April 27 and run through June 2. A reception will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Both the exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

Artists often remind us of places and times we have overlooked, dismissed, maybe forgotten entirely. In the new Tall Grass Exhibit, ‘Heartland,’ artists present images of time spent away from the rush and noise of cities, lives lived a bit slower, less complicated, maybe less cynical, often intricately laced together with nature.

Forty-eight regional artists share more than seventy wonderful paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures and mixed media pieces of some of these times and places we possibly never noticed or wish we might experience again.

Tall Grass Arts Association is located at 67 Artists Walk in Downtown Park Forest. Gallery hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday. For additional information or to schedule an appointment to view the exhibit, call 708-748-3377 or visit www.tallgrassarts.org.
