Long Line of Job Seekers at Recent Job Fair in Park Forest, Illinois


Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The National Congress of Black Women, Metro Chicago Chapter partnered with the Village of Park Forest to host their 2nd Annual Job Fair on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. Over 400 job seekers were in attendance, along with more than 40 employers from industries including education, finance, health care, retail, service, transportation and utilities.

Generous supporters of the event included ComEd, Western & Southern Life, and the Illinois Department of Employment Securities.

Some of the participating employers included Nicor, ComEd, Walmart, Walgreens, the Illinois State Toll Highway, Norfolk Southern Railroad, Crawford Broadcasting, TCF Bank, Metra, Governors State University, Ringold Financial Management Services, Mercy Hospital, and Western & Southern Life Insurance. According to event participants, several hires were made, making every bit of the effort put into the event worthwhile.
