Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Families and friends near and far filled Park Forest’s 7-Eleven on 7-11 as the store celebrated Slurpee Mania, an all-day event featuring raffle prizes, free snacks, and that luscious, smooth, tingling, virtually intoxicating thirst quencher that caresses the inside of the mouth, enlivens the taste buds, and leaves you wanting more.

Can you tell I had a few? Slurpees, that is.

Offering free 7.11 oz. Slurpees to customers kept the store busy all day. Those who bought a Slurpee were given a raffle ticket.

Store owner Gaurav Patel and manager Tony Pandya welcomed patrons as the business celebrated the Slurpee, on 7-11. As Field Consultant for 7-Eleven, Dave Wolf helped organize the festivities, saying they were hoping to break the one-day Slurpee sale record.

"There really is no record now, so whatever we do today will break it," he smiled.

The Park Forest store actually held the national record for most Slurpee sales, Wolf says. The store remains one of the top Slurpee stores in the country.

Located at 425 Sauk Trail in Park Forest, the establishment features 14 Slurpee flavors, including a Crystal Lite flavor for those looking for a sugar-free Slurpee.

What is the most popular Slurpee flavor? Coca-Cola. The Park Forest 7-Eleven is one of the only stores that offers green apple and orange flavors.

My personal favorites were combos. Mixing Strawberry and Banana was incredible. Manager Tony Pandya prefers mixing Blue Raspberry and Piña Colada.

What’s your favorite?
