Park Forest Commission Announces 2011 Awardees For Good Egg Award

Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Park Forest Commission on Human Relations is pleased to announce Gene Finley, Olubukola Fatoki and Bets Hofsommer of Park Forest as recipients of the 2011 Good Egg Award.

The Good Egg Award recognizes leadership and community service that has had a significant impact on fostering inter-group relations and equal opportunity in the South Suburbs.

In 1973 the first award was bestowed on the late Harry Teshima, who laid the groundwork that ultimately attracted the first African American families as residents of Park Forest. Today Park Forest is a community comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

The Good Egg Awards will be presented to the recipients on Monday, September 19th during a ceremony in their honor at Village Hall at 6:00 pm prior to the board meeting.

The Village of Park Forest is proud to be a community comprised of individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures and interests who are relentless in their pursuit to make Park Forest and the South Suburbs an even better place to live.
