Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Updated November 8, 2010 at 11:15 a.m. with additional program information.

Judi Lancaster, Administrative Assistant to the Assistant Villager Manager, announced that Park Forest’s annual service honoring military personnel will be held November 8 at 7 p.m. in the Village Board Room.

This short program will include a narrative presentation by Park Forest resident and former United State Marine Ed Fizer and a recognition of all Veteran’s and Military Service Men and Women currently serving our country.  A brief reception will follow.

The event is spearheaded by a group of Village employees and resident volunteers who encourage you to attend to say ‘thank you’ to those who have served our country.

“The Military Recognition Program will be held on Monday, November 8 at 7 p.m.,” Lancaster said in an email. “It is a great program and you have always shown your support by attending.”

The event typically fills the Village Board Room.

Errata: This article previously stated that the November 8 meeting of the Village Board has been canceled. ENEWSPF has learned that that may not be the case.
