Matteson—(ENEWSPF)—August 21, 2012. The Sauk-Calumet Group of the Illinois Sierra Club will hold its monthly meeting on Monday, September 10, at 7:15 p.m. at the Frankfort Public Library, 21119 Pfeiffer Rd. (just off Rt. 30).
The program this month will be on reptiles of the Chicago area. Herpetologist Mark Bavetz will share pictures and information about both the common and the rare reptile species of the Chicagoland region. Come and learn about creatures that live in our area but which we rarely see.
Sierra Club meetings are free and open to the public. People who enjoy outdoor activities, who want to protect the environment, or who wish to preserve the world in which we live, are encouraged to attend. For additional information, contact Patrick Coffey, Publicity Chair, at [email protected].
