Chicago, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Southland Community Associates of the Art Institute of Chicago invites the residents of the Southland to a series of lectures at the Art Institute, 111 South Michigan, Chicago,Illinois. The lectures will be located in Price Auditorium on Wednesdays in January at 10:45 A.M. The series, "Contemporary Visions" explores the transition from Modernism to Postmodernism during the 1960s and 70s:
- January 4, 2012 covers the topic,"Light Years and the Photograph 1965-1977.
- The lecture, "International Film and Video: 1960-1979 will be on January 11. 2012.
- "Contemporary Art: 1960-1979" will be presented on January 18, 2012.
- The final presentation in this series will be titled, "Cutting Edge Jewelry Design".
Reservations are accepted by December 28, 2011 or payment by check will be accepted at the Price Auditorium door. Cost for guests for the entire series is $45.00 or $25.00 per lecture.
