CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–June 4, 2010. All too often – especially during the summer construction season or after a major storm – property owners are solicited by unscrupulous roofing contractors and pressured to accept work with high prices and low quality. As the agency responsible for licensing roofing contractors, the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) is seeking the help of hundreds of local governments across Illinois to prevent unlicensed roofing contractors from taking advantage of residents and property owners.
