Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—November 3, 2015. The Unitarian Universalist Community Church (UUCC), 70 Sycamore Drive, Park Forest, will host a special showing of the exciting new documentary ‘This Changes Everything’ on Friday, November 13 at 7 p.m. A lively discussion will follow the film.

What if confronting the climate crisis is the best chance we’ll ever get to build a better world? Inspired by Naomi Klein’s non-fiction bestseller ‘This Changes Everything,’ the film presents seven powerful portraits of communities on the front lines, from Montana’s Powder River Basin to the Alberta Tar Sands, from the coast of South India to Beijing and beyond. Interwoven with these stories of struggle is Klein’s narration, connecting the carbon in the air with the economic system that put it there. Throughout the film, Klein builds to her most controversial and exciting idea: that we can seize the existential crisis of climate change to transform our failed economic system into something radically better.

The event is free and open to the public. However, a suggested donation of $5 is appreciated.

Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided. Bring a snack to share if you wish.

UUCC is located just east of Western Avenue and south of Steger Road.
