Vernon Kleen to Discuss Hummingbirds of Illinois at Thorn Creek Audubon Society February Meeting

Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSP)—January 24, 2011.  On Wednesday, February 2nd, at 7pm the Thorn Creek Audubon Society will be privileged to have Vernon Kleen talk about the status of hummingbirds in Illinois. He will explain what happens at hummingbird festivals where the birds are banded and people have a chance to get acquainted with these tiny fast-moving little creatures. He is one of only three licensed hummingbird banders in our state.

Our meeting place has changed. This and subsequent meetings will be at the Park Forest Library, 400 Lakewood Boulevard. Our meetings are open to the public and refreshments are served.
