Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— A sure sign of summer in Park Forest is the kickoff of the village’s Main Street Nights music series. This year’s program, “Hot Fun in the Summertime,” begins on June 10 with the J Grant Experience.
With the exception of July 1, concerts will be held each Wednesday evening on the Main Street stage at the Village Green, at the intersection of Cunningham and Main Streets. There will be an opening act at 6:30 p.m. followed by the main performance at 7:30 p.m. There is no charge for admission to the concerts.
On July 4, Main Street Nights celebrates Independence Day with a concert by Ndeep Band followed by a fireworks display at 9 p.m.
Kickoff of Main Street Nights Is Imminent
Favorites returning this year include Maggie Speaks on July 15 and Fredi Taylor featuring the Nu Source Band, which closes out the summer series on August 5.
Always a crowd-favorite, The Blooze Brothers also return this year. Look for them at 6:30 p.m. on July 29, followed by a family-friendly outdoor film at 8:15 p.m.
Each week features food trucks and kiddie rides to enhance the family-fun experience. There is also a “Car Cruise Night” each week from 6 to 8 p.m. The Khool Whips Classic Car Club hosts this event.
