WASHINGTON–(ENEWSPF)–March 7, 2014. U.S. Senator Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) today announced he and several Republican colleagues introduced legislation that extends unemployment insurance benefits for five months and reforms the current program without adding to the national debt. Senator Kirk along with Senators Dean Heller (R-Nev.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Rob Portman (R-Ohio), Dan Coats (R-Ind.), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) and Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) formulated the proposal.
