Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– A committee organized by the League of Women Voters of the Park Forest Area (LWVPFA) has been studying the issue of an individual holding two public offices simultaneously for the last year. The study began last November with a speaker from the Opinion Bureau of the Office of the Illinois Attorney General. Research has been done and materials are now almost ready to be mailed to members, in preparation for a meeting November 16 at 2:15 pm at the Park Forest Public Library, 400 Lakewood Boulevard. The meeting will include presentations by the committee and a discussion of questions designed to help the local league form a position on this subject.
The public is invited — and encouraged — to attend the meeting, although only members’ opinions are considered in formation of the League’s position. If you are not a member but would like to receive the materials, please email Barbara Sturges at [email protected].
