Marian Forensics Earns a 3rd, 4th at IHSA State

Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Marian Catholic had a pair of state place winners on Feb. 21 in the IHSA state meet at Belleville West High School. Chris Skurka and Jonathan Williamsen teamed up to captured third place in state for Humorous Duet Acting, while the Marian Performance in the Round team earned a fourth-place finish in state.

The cast of Performance in the Round includes Molly Nunn, Adam King, Ashley Smith, Jaime Patriarca, Conor Keane, Greg Rossbach, Julie Zielinski, Michael Irwin and Mary Lou Herbias with direction by Mr. Tom Sweeney and Mr. Mark Donaway. The group is competing with a captivating story entitled “The Ice Wolf.”

As a team, Marian earned a 25th-place finish in the state with four team points. Marian was also represented in state competition by Joe Wlos in Extemporaneous Speaking, and Olivia Jackson in Poetry Reading.
