Redevelopment of Deteriorating Site Would Create Thousands of Jobs; Generate Major Economic Impact

CHICAGO–(ENEWSPF)–February 22, 2016. Mayor Rahm Emanuel, Ald. Danny Solis (25th) and the Chicago Department of Planning and Development last week moved forward with jumpstarting the long-overdue rehabilitation of Chicago’s old main Post Office building in the West Loop. The city has notified the building owner of its intention to acquire the vacant property and solicit bids to redevelop it.
