Chicago, IL-(ENEWSPF)- One runner died today at the Chicago Marathon.
One runner died during the Chicago Marathon, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. A firefighter from North Carolina who apparently collapsed during the run died Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The unidentified man was pronounced dead at 12:03 p.m. at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. An autopsy is planned for Monday.
