Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Village of Park Forest Thursday announced new hire recruitment for the Police Department. This is the beginning of a hiring process where applicants will be evaluated and pooled for future hiring.
Applications are evaluated by the Village’s volunteer Police and Fire Commission, which also conducts interviews. Park Forest has strict policies in place that date back decades separating elected officials from the hiring process. Applicants can expect to be evaluated by their merits, on what they know, not who they know.
The mandatory orientation meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Freedom Hall, located at 410 Lakewood Boulevard in Park Forest. Check-in begins at 6:00 p.m. Doors close at 7:00 p.m. with no admittance afterward.
A word to potential applicants: It doesn’t pay to show up late to any of the events in the hiring process.
