Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)– The Village of Park Forest has a new Village Clerk. Sheila McGann, an 11 year resident of the area, has been appointed to replace outgoing clerk Dawn Robinson, who steps down after two years of service. "Clerk Robinson served the Village with distinction for almost three years and we greatly appreciate her service. It’s a great imposition on the time and private lives of citizens to serve in capacities such as this, and I can understand that she now wants to spend more time with her family," said Mayor John Ostenburg.

McGann, an Instructional Assistant at Rich South High School , was selected after Ostenburg launched a search in late 2007 to find a replacement for Robinson. "We’re fortunate to find someone of Clerk McGann’s caliber to be willing to serve her community in a role such as this. Her background and experience well prepares her for this position. The Trustees and I were very impressed in our review of her resume and in our interview with her. I am confident she will serve our community well," said Ostenburg. McGann began an indefinite term Monday, as she took a ceremonial roll call at her first Board Meeting at Village Hall.

She previously served seven years on the Park Forest Recreation and Parks Board. A graduate of Saint Xavier University , McGann resides in the Birch Street Townhomes Cooperative section of Park Forest .
