Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media. 

An arrest does not mean that a person is guilty. All those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty. It is the policy of eNews Park Forest to not remove items in the public record from publication. If your name is listed in the police reports, we will only add information relevant to the final disposition of the case at hand, e.g. "Mr. Smith was subsequently acquitted," or "All charges against Mr. Smith were subsequently dropped." An MP3 player and a pair of headphones were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of North Arbor Trails on August 7. The vehicle had been left unlocked.

Police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on August 7 in reference to report a fraud. A resident reported four checks had been drawn against her account, of which she had no knowledge.

Russell Bouie, 44, 17207 S. Holmes Ave., Hazel Crest, was arrested on August 8 and charged with public elimination of body waste and possession of cannabis when an officer on patrol in the 400 block of Sauk Trail observed Bouie allegedly urinating in the northwest corner of a parking lot behind a business.

A 1993 Jeep Cherokee, Illinois registration ETC845, was reported stolen from in front of a residence in the 200 block of Krotiak Road on August 9.

A Sony Xbox 360 and two game controllers were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Illinois Street on August 9. Police have suspect information.

Gregory Broughton, 36, 4435 Lindenwood Dr., Matteson, was arrested on August 9 and charged with obstructing a police officer when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a report of a disturbance.

Abdula Jimerson, 28, 309 Todd St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 9 and charged with resisting arrest and an active arrest warrant out of Will County when police responded to a disturbance call at a business in the first block of South Orchard Drive.

Twenty dollars in US currency, a Craftsman circular saw and other tools were reported stolen from a residence in the first block of Apple Lane on August 9.

Police were dispatched to a business in the 400 block of Sauk Trail on August 9 in reference to money possibly missing from two cash registers. The business continues to conduct its own investigation. There were no arrests.

An unknown person or persons carved obscenities and/or scratched the hoods of four vehicles parked in the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive on August 9.

A vehicle that had been stolen in Chicago was recovered in the area of Marquette and Nassau Streets on August 10. A resident reported to police that the vehicle had been parked on Nassau for several hours, was unoccupied and on the wrong side of the street.

A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested on August 10 and charged with aggravated domestic battery when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Seneca Street in reference to a report of a stabbing. The juvenile allegedly stabbed a family member in the back. Paramedics responded and transported the victim to the hospital.

Ray D. McCoy, 25, 551 Yates Ave., Calumet City, was arrested on August 10 and charged with an outstanding warrant and obstructing a police officer when police were dispatched to the intersection of Washington and Winnebago Streets to investigate a report of a suspicious person.

Kevin D. Ballinger, 30, 409 Winnemac St., Park Forest, was arrested on August 11 and charged with domestic battery when police responded to that address in reference to a report of domestic battery.

Police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on August 11 to investigate a report of battery. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

Bicycles were reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Winona Street on August 11.

An officer was dispatched to the area of Thomas and Todd Streets on August 11 to investigate a report of gang graffiti spray-painted on a fence and the roadway. The Park Forest Public Works Department was notified for the removal of the graffiti.

Jasmine Chavers, 24, 21631 Cynthia Ave., Sauk Village, was arrested on August 12 and charged with possession of cannabis when an officer on patrol near a parking lot in the 100 block of East Sycamore Drive observed a vehicle parked in the lot. The vehicle was occupied by approximately 4 subjects, according to police. The officer investigated the vehicle due to the high volume of vehicle burglaries that had occurred in the area, according to police.

Brandon H. Kinsey, 18, 374 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was arrested on August 12 and charged with aggravated assault and unlawful use of a weapon when police responded to that address to investigate reports of a disturbance.

The driver’s door window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Springfield was reported shattered on August 13.

Jose D. Oliver, 17, 9 Apple Lane, Park Forest, Joshua E. Jones, 17, 15 W. Rocket Circle, Park Forest, and Jeremy C. Morris, 19, 36 W. Rocket Circle, Park Forest, were arrested on August 13 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to Central Park in reference to a report of battery.

The rear window of a vehicle parked in the 3000 block of Western Avenue was reported shattered on August 13.

The rear passenger window of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Indiana Street was reported shattered on August 13.

Dorian Cole, 31, 3368 Western Ave., Park Forest, was arrested on August 14 and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia when detectives assisting the Cook County Eviction Unit discovered Cole alone in a bedroom with a “water bong”, a scale, packaging, and smelled a burnt odor of cannabis coming from Coles’ person, according to police. Police also found pills on Coles’ person that field-tested positive for Ecstasy.

TyJuan Davis, 20, 21776 Peterson Ave., Sauk Village, was arrested on August 14 and charged with criminal trespass to land when officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Western Ave, Court G-2, to investigate a report of criminal trespass to land.

A 52-inch Panasonic flatscreen television, valued at $1500, was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Hemlock Street on August 14.

Ten rental trucks at the U-Haul on North Street in Park Forest had catalytic converters stolen sometime after the business closed on August 13. In addition to the catalytic converters, employees discovered other items missing, including 12 scrap truck radiators, approximately 12 truck tires valued at $1000, a transmission jack valued at $350, various amounts of scrap metal, approximate value $500, and a 14-foot box truck. The truck, a white and orange Ford F350 box truck, Arizona registration AD47139, was placed into LEADS as stolen.

A red Honda Mountain bike valued at $200 was reported stolen from a residence in the 200 block of Juniper Street on August 15.
