Park Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—Editor’s Note: We continue our reporting on news from police reports. Besides covering the many stories from around Park Forest that otherwise might go unnoticed, we want to bring more complete coverage of police reports than is reported by other local media.

Charles A. Bates, 29, 222 Allegheny St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 19 and charged with possession of cannabis, failure to wear a properly adjusted seatbelt, and driving while license suspended when an officer traveling on 26th Street observed Bates driving a car allegedly without wearing a seatbelt.

Joseph T. Crawford, 41, 16748 S. 82nd Ave., Tinley Park, was arrested on December 20 and charged with one felony charge of possession of a controlled substance when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Marquette Street to investigate a report of a suspicious automobile. Jeffrey K. Beaudry, 42, 11140 S. Ridgeland, Worth, IL, was arrested in connection with the same incident and charged with operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and illegal transportation of open alcohol. The vehicle Beaudry was driving was seized per local drug ordinances, according to police.

Ricardo Gonzalez, 31, 1904 Chicago Rd., Chicago Heights, was arrested on December 20 and charged with one felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer when police responded to 207 S. Orchard Dr., St. Irenaeus Church, to investigate a report of a disturbance. Hector Rubio, 223 E. 22nd St., Chicago Heights, was arrested in connection with the same incident and charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.

A juvenile was arrested on December 20 and charged with attempted residential burglary and processed on two outstanding warrants when police were dispatched to the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a report of a burglary.

Aquan L. Ecford, 29, 423 Suwanee St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 21 and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer when police were dispatched to that address in response to a report of a disturbance.

A tire cover valued at $50 was removed from the spare tire mounted on the rear of the vehicle parked in the 300 block of Sauk Trail on December 21.

A 15-piece PC stove iron valued at $199 was reported stolen from Chatham Beauty Supply, 114 S. Orchard Dr., on December 22. Police described the suspect as a black male approximately 5’5″ in height, medium build, wearing a black hat, gray scarf covering his face, black jacket, black jeans and white shoes.

Brandon H. Kinsey, 18, 4500 W. 93rd St., Oak Lawn, and two juveniles were arrested and charged with retail theft when police were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy, 1 Main St., Park Forest, to investigate a report of retail theft.

Enrique Chavez, 20, 1042 Emerald Ave., Chicago Heights, was arrested on December 22 and charged with theft, driving without a driver’s license – never issued, and driving without insurance when police were dispatched to the 300 block of Somonauk Street to investigate a report of burglary.

Steven L. Ware, 34, 58 Sauk Trail, Park Forest, was arrested on December 22 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to that address in reference to a report of domestic battery.

The front windshield of a vehicle parked in the 400 block of Saugatuck Street was reported shattered on December 23.

Michael L. Walker, 35, 274 Sangamon St., Park Forest, was arrested on December 23 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a report of domestic battery.

The driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of East Sycamore Street was reported shattered on December 24. A Jensen car stereo/CD player valued at $300 was reported stolen from the vehicle.

Leslie K. Chapman, 36, 186 Monee Rd., Park Forest, was arrested on December 26 and charged with domestic battery when police were dispatched to that address to investigate a report of a disturbance.

An Xbox video game console with controllers, valued at $200, and an assortment of Xbox/PlayStation 2 game discs valued at $100 were reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Marquette Street on December 26.

Police are investigating a robbery that took place in Somonauk Park on Saturday, December 27, shortly before 11 PM. A 17-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman told police that while walking through Somonauk Park near the pavilion area, a white colored vehicle pulled up very close to them. Two male black subjects exited the vehicle and asked, “What you got?” According to police, the suspects allegedly then began to attack the man, punching him about the face and body several times with closed fist. The woman was punched in the face while trying to aid the young man. During the struggle, the offenders allegedly removed the man’s wallet and cell phone from his pockets. Police continue to investigate.
