Woman Found Unresponsive and Clothed in Bathtub

Police were dispatched to a residence in the 200 block of Lester Street on May 21 in response to a report of a female subject lying unresponsive in a bathtub. Upon arrival, Detective Baugh entered the bathroom and located the female, Dana Dunaka, 40, 263 Lester, St., Park Forest, lying face up in the bathtub, with approximately 3-4 inches of water in the tub. She was wearing a shirt with a tank top underneath, a pair of shorts and socks with athletic shoes. All of the clothing was completely saturated with water, according to police. There were two pillows under her head which were also saturated with water, according to police. The body was transported by Park Forest Paramedics to St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights. An autopsy was performed on May 22 by the Medical Examiner, Dr. Cogan. Her death was ruled an accidental drowning due to a seizure disorder, according to police.

Ryan S. Moore, 19, 58 Indianwood Blvd., Park Forest, was arrested on May 23 and charged with public elimination of bodily waste when police responded to the 200 block of Washington Street to investigate a report of disorderly conduct. According to police, a witness reported that her dog started barking. The witness looked outside of her residence and observed Moore allegedly urinating and “flailing his penis” in the direction of the witness and her female juvenile cousin, according to police. Officer Kush spoke with Moore, who allegedly told the officer, “What, you never pissed outside before?”

A bright yellow Harro brand BMX bicycle was reported stolen from in front of CVS Pharmacy, 1 Main St., Park Forest, on May 23.

A brown and white Mongoose trick bike with pegs, valued at $200, was reported stolen from a residence in the 300 block of Ash Street on May 23.

A Kenwood single CD car stereo, valued at $165, a Garman GPS valued at $250, and a Dell Inspiron laptop were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 211th Street Metra Municipal parking lot on May 23. The front passenger window of the vehicle had been shattered.

A blue and silver Mongoose bicycle, with a black t-shirt wrapped around the seat and silver pegs on the rear tire, was reported stolen from a residence in the 100 block of Niagara Street on May 24.

A resident called police and alerted them to gang signs that had been spray-painted on the sidewalk in front of a residence in the 400 block of Sandburg Street on May 24. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

A Sony car CD player, valued at $100, two 12-inch JBL speakers valued at $250, and a 4-channel, 1000 watt amplifier, valued at $150, were reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Sangamon Street on May 24.

Jabriel W. Anderson, 17, 129 Fir St., Park Forest, was arrested on May 25 and charged with battery when police were dispatched to CVS Pharmacy, 1 Main Street, to investigate a report of battery. Gabriel B. Smith-Williams, 18, 11150 S. Parnell Ave., Chicago, was also arrested in connection with the same incident and charged with disorderly conduct.

The front passenger side window of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Shabbona Drive was reported shattered on May 25.

A juvenile was arrested on May 25 and charged with theft when police responded to a residence in the 200 block of Allegheny Street to investigate a report of theft.

Police were dispatched to the Park Forest Police Department on May 25 to investigate a report of domestic battery. A woman reported being choked by a resident with whom she had ended a relationship. Police have suspect information and continue to investigate.

Calvin J. Jefferson, 28, 128 Elm St., Park Forest, was arrested on May 25 and issued a municipal citation charging disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Elm Street to investigate a report of neighbors having a dispute.

The driver’s side rear window of a vehicle, parked in the 300 block of Indianwood Boulevard, was reported shattered on May 26.

Police responded to a residence in the first block of Cedar Street on May 26 to investigate a report of criminal damage to property. A resident noticed that the screen on a basement window was bent. Police observed pry marks on the exterior of the screen. Nothing was reported missing from the residence.

A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested on May 27 and charged with disorderly conduct, resisting a peace officer, and aggravated battery to a police officer, when an officer on patrol in the area of Forest Trail Middle School, observed the juvenile allegedly jumping in the air and punching another juvenile.

An officer on patrol noticed graffiti on the western outside wall of Mohawk school on May 27. Someone had spray-painted the initials “K.O.B.” on the building with white spray paint.

Shawn J. Clanton, 20, 269 Arrowhead St., Park Forest, and Randy K. Thompson, 21, 272 Arrowhead St., Park Forest, were arrested on May 29 and charged with possession of cannabis when an officer on patrol in the area of Apache and Allegheny Streets observed a vehicle with three occupants parked in the driveway of a vacant residence. A juvenile was also arrested and processed on a charge of possession of cannabis.

Michael D. McCray, 22, 325 Somonauk St., Park Forest, was arrested on May 30 and charged with domestic battery when police responded to that address in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.
