Chicago Heights, IL—(ENEWSPF)— Prairie State College (PSC) will honor the service and sacrifice of veterans with a series of community events throughout November. Unless noted, all events will be held on the PSC main campus, 202 S. Halsted St., Chicago Heights, IL 60411.
Veterans Day Ceremony
Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.
Conference Center Auditorium
PSC Board Trustee Bishop Ronald White will deliver the keynote address. Following this, there will be a special recognition for the Village of Richton Park, followed by a post-ceremony fellowship and lunch. Organizers encourage attendees to bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. There will also be a $5 raffle for a chance to win a $250 gift basket, with proceeds benefiting veterans at the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs Prince Home.
PSC Veterans Art Exhibition: “The Art of Valor: Created, Remembered, Renewed”

Christopher Art Gallery
The exhibition showcases the voices of American military veterans through diverse media reflecting their experiences and artistic journeys. The gallery invites the community to the Artists Reception on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

PSC Veterans Appreciation Basketball Games

PSC Fieldhouse, 100 W. 197th Place, Chicago Heights, IL 60411
The women’s team will play at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s at 7 p.m., as the Pioneers take on the South Suburban College Bulldogs. Bloom Township High School Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC) will present the colors. There will be a special recognition held for veterans in attendance.
