Public Notice on Vacancy of 80th District Legislative Seat


Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Democratic Committeeman Terry Matthews has given public notice on the procedure for those who are interested in applying for the seat being vacated by State Rep. George Scully in the 80th Legislative District in Illinois. Scully learned last week that he has been appointed by the Illinois Supreme Court to fill the 15th Subcircuit vacancy created by the resignation of former Judge Marcella Lipinski.

Terry Matthews’ statement follows:

State Representative George Scully of the Illinois 80th Representative legislative District has announced that he will be resigning from his position as State Representative of the 80th District. Any qualified person that would like to be considered in filling the vacancy must send a letter of intent along with their resume to The following Cook County Township Democratic Committeeman. Frank Zuccarelli of Thornton Township, Terry Matthews of Bloom Township and Tim Bradford of Rich Township.  The letter of Intent along with the resume must be in the Committeeman’s hands no later then Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 5:00 P.M.
