Representative Jan Schakowsky Statement on House Passage of S. 2673, the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2014

CHICAGO – (ENEWSPF)—December 5, 2014. Rep. Jan Schakowsky released the following statement on the House of Representatives’ passage of the United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2014:

“I was very pleased to see the House of Representatives pass the U.S.-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of 2014 by a voice vote.  This bill has overwhelming bipartisan support.  I joined more than 350 Representatives in cosponsoring the House version of the bill and urging action before Congress adjourns.

This critical legislation recognizes the partnership between the United States and Israel, and it makes it easier for our nations work even closer together on a wide range of issues from defense to agriculture and water to renewable energy to cyber security.   Both of our nations will benefit from this important legislation, and I urge President Barack Obama to sign it as soon as possible.”
