Rich Township High School District 227 Conducting Online Community Survey


Rich Township, IL–(ENEWSPF)– Rich Township High School District 227 is conducting a community survey to solicit feedback for its strategic plan.

The survey is being conducted online now through May 22, and is open to all community members who reside within the boundaries of District 227 who DO NOT have children in the three Rich Township High Schools. (A separate survey is being mailed to parents of students who attend District 227 high schools.)

District 227 includes Rich East, Rich Central and Rich South High Schools. In the winter of 2009, District 227 launched the strategic planning process to guide district leadership in future decision making. The process involves thousands of district stakeholders, and the community survey will allow community members to state their opinions regarding the current state and future of the district before findings and strategic initiatives are developed. The plan is will be released in June.

District 227 is partnering with ECRA Group, Inc., to conduct the strategic planning process. ECRA Group is an established leader in the areas of educational assessment, research and strategic planning. Based in Rosemont, Illinois, ECRA Group has over 30 years experience in helping educational organizations across the nation better understand and document their performance, and chart a course for the future.

Since the launch of the strategic planning process, ECRA Group has conducted numerous focus groups and surveys involving the District 227 Board of Education, students, administrators, faculty members, staff members, parents and community members. In addition, ECRA conducted a study on curriculum and student achievement, the results of which will be a part of the findings related to the strategic plan.
