Artist Evening Reception at South Suburban College on March 28


SOUTH HOLLAND, IL—(ENEWSPF)—March 21, 2014. The Art & Design Department of South Suburban College (SSC) is hosting a closing reception next Friday, March 28th from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., in the Dorothea Thiel Gallery, for an exhibition of art works by Nicole Northway titled “Wisdom of the Night.”  Nicole Northway is a Chicago-based artist originally from St. Louis.  She came to Chicago to earn her MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008. In 2011, Northway opened her first Etsy Shop and later opened One Strange Bird, a creative studio in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood that offers art classes to kids and adults, showcases talented artists, and sells indie crafts from around the country.  

The public is welcome to visit art exhibitions and receptions at no charge.  The Thiel Gallery is on the 4th floor in the Art & Design hallway.  SSC Galleries are open at minimum Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.  The galleries are closed on weekends and holidays.
