Congresswoman Robin Kelly announced today that Prairie State College has been awarded a $938,447 federal grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration that will fund on-site job training centers in welding and machining at various community locations throughout the South Suburbs.
The investment will support workforce development efforts throughout the region, which will create jobs and boost manufacturing and logistic sectors locally.
