Matteson, IL-(ENEWSPF)- Matteson Elementary School District 162’s seventh and eighth grade girls’ basketball team won the South Suburban Junior High School Athletic Association’s Conference Championship. The seventh grade team members are Janae Poisson, Cheyenne Danner, Jordan Towery, Anise Hannah, Ambrea Gale, Kassidy Smith-Ross, Phynix Huhn-Simmons, Nicole Jimerson, Somiah Muhammad, Bianca Lee, Taporia Brown, Jasmine Washington, Alliyah Brown, and Miyanda Williams. The eighth grade team members are Cassandra Burris, Alexis Reynolds, Kendall Rallins, Kaela Jackson, Ashley Dennis, Chelsi Dennis, Ella Thornton, Jordan Ferguson, Chyna Buckner and Samara Johnson.
The team had an 8-3 record.
