“As in prior years, our golf event was very enjoyable. We had wonderful weather, a lovely location and enthusiastic attendees who had fun,” said Superintendent Joyce Carmine. “It is an important good will event for our community. The golf outing demonstrates that we have business partners who care about the School District and its community and are contributing to the well being of the schools and our students. We are grateful to these partners and appreciate their generosity.”
Walter Mosby, president of the board of education and co-chair of the golf committee with board member Margaret McDannel, agreed with Dr. Carmine, saying, “I enjoy the day because it attracts our community partners, who are very important to us. They know that schools benefit from their financial support through their participation in Teeing Off Fore Education. Our outing is successful because of them.”
Co-Chair McDannel commented, “We are grateful to all of our sponsors for their tremendous support. It means a great deal to our children and their families. We also are grateful to the members of our golf committee who began to plan for June’s outing when school opened in September. Now we look forward to next year’s Teeing Off Fore Education.”
