GSU Offers Conflict Mediation Workshop

University Park, IL–(ENEWSPF)– “Creating Peace through Restorative Circles” is the focus of the facilitator training course offered at Governors State University in February. Reducing conflict and creating more peace in the home, at school, and in the community is the role of a certified Peace Circle Facilitator. In the five session course, participants will take the next step in developing the skills and strategies needed to implement and apply restorative justice practices.

Dr. Jane Nicholson of GSU presents the training. The full 32-hour course results in certification. Classes are held on Saturdays, February 5, 19, and 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Fridays, February 18 and 25, from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Current GSU tuition for two credit hours applies or a non-credit option for $175. CPDUs are available.
