Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)- eNews Park Forest continues with our series of stellar students from Rich East High School. Mr. Kevin Kredens, the school’s publicity liaison, provides each student a series of the same questions. All responses are in the students’ exact words, except for minor editing for content and space when needed.
We are pleased to feature Kaylie Fisher, a life-long resident of Park Forest currently in her fourth year at Rich East. She played on the Rocket Varsity Softball team for four years, was All-Conference and earned MVP honors; she also played Varsity Volleyball. Finally, Ms. Fisher also participated in National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society. She’s planning on a nursing degree.
Meet Kaylie Fisher:
Are you a Park Forest Resident? How long? Yes. I have been a Park Forest resident my whole life.
At Rich East all four years? Yes. I have attended Rich East High School all four years.
What do you like most about Rich East? What I like the most about Rich East is my friends.
Activities/Athletics/Clubs participated in? Special awards? I have played on the Rocket Varsity Softball team for four years. I was All-Conference and earned MVP honors; I also played Varsity Volleyball; I also participated in National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.
GPA/Class Rank. My Grade Point Average is 3.913. My Class rank: is currently 2nd out of 213.
Favorite classes and why. My favorite classes are Psychology and Sociology. Those subjects interest me.
Favorite teachers and why. My favorite teachers are Ms. (Stephanie) Tijerina, because she is just a great teacher and very sweet; and Mr. (Robert) Grigsby, because he teacher well and is funny.
ACT: I took the ACT and received a 25 on the exam.
Areas met or exceeded on PSAE (Prairie State Achievement Exam): I met and exceeded in all the criteria scores for the PSAE.
AP Exams/Scores: I received a 4 on the AP English exam.
College choice? Major? I plan on attending Western Illinois University and will major in Nursing.
What are you listening to on your iPod these days? I am listening to Odd Future and Kendrick Lamar.
What is the last book you have read? The last book I read was Pride and Prejudice, by Jane Austen.
Favorite TV Shows? My favorite TV shows are “Adventure Time” and “Criminal Minds.”
Coffee or Tea, hot or cold? Neither.
Junk Foods? Pizza, Mickey D’s, Taco Bell? Other? Junk foods: Flamin’ Hots; Healthy foods: fruit; Other: Baba’s Famous Steak and Lemonade Restaurant.
Places that you’d most like to visit? Out of the country, like Italy or something like that.
Clubs, hobbies/volunteering? Softball. I go to a Catholic Church.
Where do you want to be in five years? In ten years? In five years, I plan to be graduating from College with a nursing degree; In 10 years, My goal is to have a steady career, comfortable living, and hopefully married to the love of my life.
