Monday, February 13th: Chicago Public School Students to Fight Back

Students to march and demand meeting with CPS officials and a student voice in CPS decision making.

CHICAGO –(ENEWSPF)—February 10, 2017.  Organizers with the Chicago Students Union are organizing a press conference and march in response to the new round of budget cuts in Chicago Public Schools (CPS), totaling $46 million.

The students have a clear demand: a meeting with CPS officials and increased student voice in the decision making process, to implement real solutions to the budget crisis, not just further austerity measures.

The demonstration will be held on Monday, February 13 at the Thompson Center in Chicago, at 100 W. Randolph St., at 4:30 p.m.
