Prairie State College Announces Firefighter II Graduates

Chicago Heights, IL–(ENEWSPF)–Prairie State College (PSC) recently held a ceremony recognizing 18 graduates from its Firefighter II program. The vigorous, hands-on training program prepares students to become municipal firefighters and take the state fire marshal exam. The program follows the standards of the National Fire Protection Association and the Office of the State Fire Marshall.

“The academy class was a great group who worked very hard in the classroom and on the training ground. All of these firefighters did extremely well,” said Dr. Marie Hansel, dean, health and industrial technology.

The graduates are Elmer Bausch, Flossmoor Fire Department; Nicholas Capolillo, Park Forest Fire Department; Brian Cast, Sauk Village Fire Department; Michael Crandall, Park Forest Fire Department; Brian Cripe, Sauk Village Fire Department; Dylan Cunningham, South Holland Fire Department; Brian Farr, Flossmoor Fire Department; Fredrick Jackson, Park Forest Fire Department; William McDade, University Park Fire Department; John Oakes, Park Forest Fire Department; Kevin O’Donnell, Flossmoor Fire Department; Brian O’Malley, Homewood Fire Department; Austin Raske, Glenwood Fire Department; Nicholas Ridder, Lynwood Fire Department; Brian Rimkus, Park Forest Fire Department; Jimmy Ross, Jr., Richton Park Fire Department; Daniel Spain, East Hazel Crest Fire Department; Dylan Vance, Flossmoor Fire Department.
