Park Forest, IL-(ENEWSPF)- The Rich East High School Business Professionals of America team has qualified 10 of its members to the state meet after high marks at the recent regional competition, four of whom are making their second-consecutive state trip.
Sarah Abbott, Elyse Terrazas, Gabrielle Hernandez and Anna Kurnat, all of whom qualified for state last year, are making a return trip. Abbott, a junior, who won the state championship in keyboarding production as a sophomore last year, qualified this year in advanced interview skills and fundamental accounting. Teammates Elyse Terrazas (legal office procedures), Gabrielle Hernandez (payroll accounting) and Anna Kurnat (global marketing team) also again qualified for state.
Other Rocket state qualifiers are: Dazzo Wilnewic, Karina Davila (payroll accounting); Guadalupe Acosta (computer programming open); and Aiyana Godsil and Briana Gipson (medical office procedures).
The Illinois BPA state meet will be Feb. 27 through March 1 in Oak Brook.
