Rich Township SD 227-(ENEWSPF)- Rich Township 227 high school district shared news of a successful Junior High Band Day.
“The Junior High Band Day engaged more than 40 students from O.W. Huth Middle School and Southwood Middle School, experiencing the fun life of a high school band student in District 227,” the district said in a newsletter.
In other news, Rich East High School will hold its Homecoming this weekend. The football game kicks off at 12:00 noon against district rival Rich South.
The fall 2016 newsletter from Rich Township 227 boasts $18 million in scholarships awarded to its graduates:
Rich Township High School seniors have completed their rigorous academic school year, been celebrated in various athletic and activity recognition programs, and participated in the commencement ceremony.
To date, District 227 graduates have earned and been offered more than $18 million in college scholarships, grants, and awards.
Additionally, District 227 partners with the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) program, particularly due to the increased student interest in career exploration. This partnership helps students discover their interests, skills, abilities, and work values to identify which occupational profiles to pursue after high school.
