Park Forest, IL–(ENEWSPF)- eNews Park Forest continues with our series of stellar students from Rich East High School. Mr. Kevin Kredens, the school’s publicity liaison, provides each student a series of the same questions. We are pleased to feature Riddhi Kansara, a life-long Park Forester, who loves math..

Meet Riddhi Kansara:

Are you a Park Forest Resident? How long?  Yes I am. I have lived in Park Forest my entire life.

At Rich East all four years? Yes. Rich East is the only high school I have attended.

What do you like the most about Rich East? The group of friends I have made at East is definitely my favorite thing about East. I came into the school knowing about 10 people but I am leaving the school knowing 100-plus!

Favorite classes and why? I would have to say any math class would be my favorite, mainly because I am a total math nerd.

Favorite teachers/coaches and why. My favorite teachers are: Ms. (Marisa) Ptak, Ms. (Sara) Smado, Mr. (Bob) Kaufmann, Mr. (Mark) Adamczyk, and Mr. (Bob) LaFrance because they area amazing teachers and they always add humor to their lessons. My favorite coaches are Dr. (Ryba) Epstein and Mr. (Sean) Coughlin (Scholastic Bowl) because of Dr. Epstein’s amazing brain and Mr. Coughlin’s hilarious jokes.

GPA/Class Rank. My overall GPA is 4.052 and my class rank in 4th/203.

ACT: I received 29 on my ACT the first time I took it, but I received a 31 my second and third time.

Areas met or exceeded on PSAE.  Met/exceeded in all areas of the PSAE.

AP Exams. I took three AP exams last year, but I didn’t do as well as I would have liked.

What are you listening to on your iPod these days? Some of my favorite artists that I listen to are: All Time Low, We the Kings, Foo Fighters, LMFAO, Incubus, Demi Lovato, and Nice Peter (from YouTube).

What is the last book you have read? I am currently reading the A Series of Unfortunate Events series by Lemony Snicket. I am on Book 12, The Penultimate Pearl.

Favorite TV Shows. My favorite TV shows are The Office, The Big Bang Theory, Scrubs, Friends, That 70’s Show, and The MTV Challenges.

Places that you’d most like to visit. London and Australia have always been two places I would really love to see.

Clubs, hobbies: I love doing Origami (Japanese name for the art of paper folding) in my free time. My favorite things to make are roses and fireworks, but I’m still trying to make a dragon.

College choice/Major: I will be attending the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in the fall to study either Biology or Economics.

Where do you want to be in five years/In ten years? I am planning to be in Med-School in five years. Five years after that, I hope I become a doctor.
