SOUTH HOLLAND, IL–(ENEWSPF)—March 12, 2015. The South Suburban College (SSC) Women’s Basketball Team (25-7) defeated Kankakee Community College by a score of 70-62 to win the Region IV Championship and advance to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II National Tournament. Freshman guard CC Lopez was named 1st Team All-Region IV and Regional Tournament MVP, and sophomore guard Alyssa Gebo was named All-Tournament. Freshman guard Tyler Brown-Henderson was also named to the All-Region IV 2nd Team. SSC Head Coach Darrel Scott was named Regional Coach of the Year, marking his 5th time receiving the award.
