Special Workshops in Oak Forest for Healthcare Providers and Office/Practice Managers

Oak Forest, IL—(ENEWSPF)—April 5, 2013. The South Suburban College Business & Career Institute (BCI) presents a special workshop event on Wednesday, April 17th featuring two sessions geared for healthcare providers and office/practice managers.  Registration & Networking will take place from 8:45 a.m. with Workshops & Discussion to follow from 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m. at the University & College Center (UCC) in Oak Forest.

Brian A. Thompson, Principal Consultant for Black & Essington Solutions and Adjunct Professor of Economics & Management will present the first session entitled “Seven Trends Impacting the Business of Healthcare.”   This session takes a big picture view to identify growth opportunities in the rapidly changing healthcare industry.  These trends can guide practice and business leaders, operations coordinators, marketing and sales associates, and other healthcare professionals to better decision-making and more effective strategies in the future.  This workshop will answer the following questions:  How will society evolve and adapt to technology that is being introduced in healthcare?   Which forces will be most influential in competition and consumer preferences? How will technology impact patient’s needs and preferences for treatment sources? What can practices do to identify and retain top talent in a competitive knowledge-based economy?

The second session will feature Rebecca R. Palumbo, Principal/Creative Director for Rollins Palumbo Creative, presenting “Give Your Healthcare Marketing a Shot in The Arm.”  Healthcare is a unique and entirely different challenge in marketing.  Traditional advertising and sales methods just don’t apply.  Healthcare messages cannot be about selling a product or service. The message needs to establish trust and promote skills, philosophies and values to the most intimate aspects of your audience’s lives.  In this session, attendees will learn how to overcome these challenges and craft an attractive message that is clear, on-point and compelling, while applying those traditional marketing methods in a whole new way.

The cost of the event and continental breakfast is $20 per person, or $15 per person if three or more individuals from the same company attend.  For more information or to register, please call (708) 596-2000, ext. 2346 or email  [email protected].  The UCC is located at 16333 S. Kilbourn, Oak Forest, Illinois.
